University of Glasgow African Excellence Fee Waiver Scholarships in UK, 2017

INTRODUCTION

The University of Glasgow is offering 8 scholarships worth the full tuition fee for a one-year Masters programme for September 2017 academic session. African applicants are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

The University of Glasgow is the fourth-oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotlands four ancient universities.

If English is not students first language, they will be required to provide a language test before they can start their studies.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Scholarships are available to pursue master degree programme.

These scholarships are open to applicants from India applying to all on-campus master programmes .
This scholarship is open to applicants from India applying to all on-campus Masters programmes . Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission and must:
  • Be resident in Africa at time of applying have completed the first degree in Africa
  • Demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to a degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 Hons or better.
Nationality: African applicants are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.

English language Requirements: In order to undertake a programme of study here at the University, applicants will need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English. They can demonstrate their level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications. The sections below will tell them what grades they need in these qualifications for the subject area they want to study. Some degree programmes have slightly higher requirements than those stated here. When this is so, the university will ensure that they are informed using the contact details they have provided on their application. If applicants have been instructed and assessed in the English language at a recognised institution, they may be exempt from these requirements.

  • Applicants will be automatically assessed for a scholarship based on academic merit. Applicants who are being considered will be notified within the timeframes below. There is no separate application form required.
  • Applicants holding a programme offer by 1 December will receive their scholarship outcome by 16 December
  • Applicants holding a programme offer by 1 March will receive their scholarship outcome by 16 March
  • Applicants holding a programme offer by 1 June will receive their scholarship outcome by 16 June.
